Why do we need sleep? Have you ever thought about this?

If you are a busy person, you may wonder, how long your sleep has to be to maintain your health.

Those who love sleeping may think, just let me sleep as long as I want. Don’t wake me up until noon.

My mom knows if she takes a long nap would affect her night sleep, so she asks me to wake her up sometimes when I’m at home.

I thought it was funny. Somehow she knew I was more effective than her alarm.

Yes, I can be very creative in waking her up. Making a bait — sweets, late lunch, coffee, or just put our dog on her bed.

How long is napping during the day, okay, right?

All these questions I’ve asked myself many times. I bet you have too.

So I got this audiobook.

Why We Sleep by Matthew P. Walker (Professor at the University of California Berkeley, and Director of the Center for Human Sleep Science) explains a lot to us why we need sleep.
